About the role
Join a high-performing engineering team delivering enterprise integration solutions across modern cloud and API platforms. You’ll design and build robust integrations using Java, Spring Boot and MuleSoft, working closely with architects, product teams and business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in designing and delivering modern integration solutions across a complex enterprise environment. Working with Java, Spring Boot and MuleSoft, you will build scalable microservices and APIs that enable seamless communication between internal platforms and external systems.
You’ll collaborate closely with architects, engineers and product teams to deliver secure, reliable integrations while helping shape best practices across integration architecture, testing and system connectivity.
You will:
• Design and build scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop and expose secure RESTful APIs
• Build integrations across enterprise systems using MuleSoft
• Connect platforms through message queues and event-driven patterns
• Transform and map data across multiple systems
• Develop automated tests using JUnit and BDD frameworks
• Integrate external systems through APIs and file-based interfaces
• Work closely with architects, engineers and product stakeholders
Skills & Experience
• Strong Java and Spring Boot microservices experience
• MuleSoft development experience (v3 or v4)
• REST API development and integration expertise
• Experience with messaging systems and queues
• Automated testing using JUnit or Cucumber/BDD
Only candidates currently residing in New Zealand with a Valid Visa and Working Rights will be considered for this role. This is a contracting role so there is a preference for an immediate or near-immediate start.
