The Role
We are seeking an intelligent Machine Learning Engineer to join a close-knit development team. In this hands-on role, you will help design, optimise, and scale sophisticated machine learning models and automated MLOps pipelines. Working alongside software developers and senior leadership, you will have genuine autonomy to refine model accuracy and champion continuous engineering improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing, optimising, and maintaining core production models 
  • Designing and implementing MLOps pipelines to streamline automated training, deployment, and performance monitoring.
  • Conducting data preprocessing, feature engineering, and rigorous model evaluation to ensure predictable, high-performance outcomes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional squads to understand business goals and translate them into production-ready AI solutions.

Skills and Experience We’re Looking For

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a highly quantitative field (a relevant PhD or Master’s is highly desirable).
  • 1–2 years of commercial experience developing and deploying machine learning models into production environments.
  • Strong Python skills paired with deep familiarity in deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow).
  • Proven expertise in systems including RT-DETR or YOLO
  • Solid experience implementing regression and tree-based algorithms (such as XGBoost) for automated scoring or forecasting.
  • Practical understanding of MLOps best practices, including CI/CD, containerisation (Docker), and cloud services.
