Job Description:

Senior Salesforce Testing Engineer

Auckland | Flexible / Hybrid Working

There’s a real opportunity here to step into a role where your work directly shapes the quality and performance of a critical Salesforce ecosystem.

We’re partnering with a growing, technology-led organisation that is investing heavily in its Salesforce platform — not just maintaining it, but evolving it into something genuinely best-in-class. With that comes complexity, integration challenges, and the need for someone who truly understands how to test, challenge, and improve what’s being built. If you are looking to flex your Salesforce Testing skills then this might be your next contracting role.

This is where you come in.

As a Senior Salesforce Testing Engineer, you’ll take ownership of how quality is defined, measured, and delivered. You won’t just be executing test cases — you’ll be influencing how testing is approached across the business, working closely with developers, stakeholders, and delivery teams to ensure everything released is robust, scalable, and fit for purpose.

You’ll be working across a mix of Salesforce applications and integrations, bringing a thoughtful, structured approach to testing while also introducing smarter, more automated ways of working.

What you’ll be doing

At a high level, this role is about ownership and impact.

You’ll:

  • Shape and deliver end-to-end testing strategies across Salesforce platforms
  • Work closely with engineers and business stakeholders to truly understand what’s being built
  • Introduce and expand automation to improve speed and reliability
  • Identify issues early, clearly articulate them, and help drive resolution
  • Act as a sounding board during development — not just at the end of the cycle
  • Support and mentor others in the team, raising the overall quality bar
  • Continuously refine testing practices to keep pace with platform changes

What we’re looking for

This role will suit someone who has moved beyond just “doing testing” and now thinks more broadly about quality as a function.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Strong experience working across the Salesforce platform (Apex, Lightning, integrations)
  • A background in testing complex, integrated systems
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium or Salesforce DX
  • A natural ability to break down problems and think critically about risk
  • Confidence working with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders

Salesforce certifications are a bonus, but what really matters is your ability to bring structure, insight, and a proactive mindset.

Why this role is worth exploring

Beyond the technical scope, this is a chance to step into an environment where:

  • Quality is genuinely valued, not treated as an afterthought
  • You’ll have the autonomy to influence how testing is done
  • The work is varied, complex, and meaningful
  • There’s flexibility in how and where you work
  • You’ll be surrounded by people who care about building things properly

About the company

You’ll be joining a business that is scaling and evolving quickly, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality digital solutions. They’ve built a reputation for doing things properly — investing in their people, encouraging collaboration, and creating an environment where good ideas are heard and acted on.
